From Concept to Reality....The 1972 Morgan 4/4 comes alive!
The '72 Morgan is now complete and has been received extremely well. As we wrapped up final assembly, we fired it up and took it for a shake-down run. Although the day was quite cold and windy, it was still a fun drive.

Next up will be some fine tuning of the engine and a recheck of the alignment of all the body panels. Once everything is right, we'll perform a final buff out of the paint job and complete the detailing.

In the above image we enlisted a Graphic Designer to produce several renderings of the finished car with various paint schemes. This dark brown body with gold fenders and saddle interior is the one our client chose. Below is the finished result.

Just back from a trip to our friends at Portage Trim in Ravenna, OH. to have it's interior installed, the Morgan is now back in our shop for final assembly. The beautiful leather really makes the seat and dash stand out.

The gold fenders will really make this car glisten in the sun.

The dark brown metallic paint is going to look beautiful on this car. Combined with the gold of the fenders the car will have an elegant look.

Here is a picture of the nylon shield we fabricated to prevent the parking brake mechanism from puncturing the fuel tank should the car be hit from behind. Since this car will be a "driver" and not a trailer queen, we took this extra step to ensure the owner's safety

We had to patch in some new pieces. Below, we are working on the rear driver's side of the frame cutting out the old stuff.

Below, the frame is almost ready to add a new cross member.

This is a new cross member we had to manufacture ourselves. The photos below show it's location in the rear of the frame. You can see why we had to replace some of the metal to accommodate the new cross member. There wasn't enough metal left to weld to.
