1938 HRG Coupe SOLD at the Gooding & Co. Auction at Amelia Island. Bob's car hit the auction block and was hammered down at a price of $230,000! It is very much a bittersweet feeling to see the little car go to a new home. It has been such an important part of our lives for several years...we're going to miss her.
We scored an invitation to bring the 1957 Mercedes 300SL Roadster to the DuPont "Cars and Coffee" event at Amelia Island on Saturday morning (3/9). We're looking forward to the opportunity to show the car off a bit and hopefully find a propective buyer.

Bill Hahn and Paul Vorbach will be heading to Amelia Island, FL in March to support the sale of BBob Affleck's HRG. We're also planning to take the 1957 Mercedes 300SL along with us to show to some potential buyers. Gonna be a busy trip.
On Saturday February 9th we'll be hosting the Allegheny Chapter of the BMW CCA for a tour of our shop. We're looking forward to meeting everyone.

We've just learned that Bob Affleck is planning to consign his 1938 HRG Coupe to Gooding & Co. for auction at Amelia Island in March. Stay tuned for more information as we prepare the car for its trip to Florida

The February issue of Hemmings Sports and Exotic Magazine features a six page spread on our restoration of Bob Affleck's HRG Coupe. Our thanks to Dave LaChance and all the folks at Hemmings for the awesome feature.

We're very proud to have two of our restorations featured in the January issue of Hemming Sports and Exotic Magazine. Bob Affleck's HRG Coupe is presented in a "Drive Report" written by Dave LaChance and Dennis Cestra's '64 MG Midget is the subject of the Restoration Profile written by Mike Bumberg. Congratulations to Bob and Dennis! The February issue of Sports and Exotic will include a follow-up article outlining the restoration of Bob's HRG.
Bob Affleck's 1938 HRG Coupe is currently on display at the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA as part of their Holiday Exhibit running from Mid-November through early January. The car looks right at home among the Christmas Trees

We are excited to annouce our participation in the Preferred Platinum Builders Program being establish by WORM Inc. of Grantville, PA. WORM Inc. builds a complete line of Nostalgia Slingshot Dragsters and Funny Cars. As a Preferred Platinum Builders, we will represent WORM Inc. throughout the Western PA, Eastern OH and Northern WV region. We will work with Nostaglia racers throughout the area to order and build their cars. Nostaglia Drag Racing is among the fastest growing forms of motor sports. Stay tuned for more information as we work to get this new venture off the ground.
Bob Affleck's 1938 HRG Coupe was chosen second in class at the 2012 Louisville Concours d' Elegance in Louisville, KY. held on October 7th at historic Churchill Downs home of the Kentucky Derby. Congratulations Bob!

The 1938 HRG Coupe was awarded the Dave Holls Most Distinguished Design Award at the 2012 Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles in Canton, OH.
News Release - August 2012
Bob Affleck's HRG Coupe was a hit at the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance in Monterey, CA. Bob and Sylvia participated in the 60 mile long Tour d' Elegance which ran down Rt. 1 along the California coast with a nice stop for lunch in beautiful downtown Carmel. The coupe represented the pride of England well at the Concours as it took its place next to a group of Alfa Romeo's and Bugatti's on the show field. We hooked up with a number of old friends and made several new ones. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back!

Hersch stopped by the shop last week for our next installment of the "Builders Series" on TalkHotRods.com. Topics include the 1938 HRG Coupe at the Elegance at Hershey as well as preparations for the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance in August. The debut of the '57 300SL Roadster at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Running at the Flashlight Drags and Penn College of Technology. The '57 Mercedes 300SL Roadster made its long awaited debut at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in Schenley Park. Although there are still several tweaks and details to be done, the car is virtually complete and running. We're very pleased with the way it is turning out.

Many thanks to Dan DelBianco and all the volunteers for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix for inviting us to join their display and helping us promote the car!
